Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan

     In our school, the English month was opened and celebrated in the month of November. As usual the officers and teachers gave a few reminders and facts about this year's English month theme, "Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan" or "Reading: Key to a Bright Future". What does this mean?

     English is considered to be the so called "universal language" because almost every country in the world use this language to communicate. In my own opinion, "Reading is the key to a bright future" is true because not all the time our teachers teach us everything. Sometimes we need to read in order to expand our knowledge, vocabulary, further understand something and many more. Reading has a lot of benefits to the mind. It exercises it, strengthens it and many more. Reading is also one way to to keep up with whatever is happening to the world right now.

     In conclusion, I believe reading is one of the keys to a bright future because it teaches us a lot of values like patience, it serves as a hobby and it develops our personality. Traits that will result to a bright future.
