For the Filipinos!

July 23, 2018 marks the third State of the Nation Address of our President, Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. As expected, his topics were about of course drugs, human rights, the future of the Philippines and many more. And surprisingly, he had mentioned some words, remarkable words that struck me.

In connection to the war on illegal drugs, he said "Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives." This is very meaningful to me because we all know that these illegal substances can destroy lives and this pusher and dealers doesn't pick who their costumer is. The youth is our hope in correcting the mistakes of the past generation and what do these people do to them? They destroy their lives just for money. one more he said, "You worry about the present, I am concerned about the present and the future. He is concerned of the present crimes being committed today and the effect on the children tomorrow. Mr. Duterte gave his friends some position but when he saw that they are not worthy of that position, he took them out and find someone worthy. "I value friendship make no mistake about it but it has its limits."

This is the kind of president the Philippines needs. Someone who loves and is willing to protect it no matter what. Someone who thinks of the children and someone who knows equality, no bias. He cares for the Christian and Muslim citizens of our dear country, the Philippines. We need someone like Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
